Each year students in The Winnetka Public Schools demonstrate academic excellence on state and national tests. The Illinois State Board of Education compiles a School Report Card for each school and District in the State annually. These School Report Cards are available here for each school in District 36.
School Report Cards offer quantitative information about student demographics, instructional settings, and District financial health. Additionally, academic performance for students in grades 3-8 is available within each school’s Report Card. Test results are broken down by grade level, gender, ethnicity, and subject area (in reading, mathematics, and science).
Schools are assessed based on this information and are given an adequate yearly progress (AYP) status report. The AYP shows attendance and graduation rates for schools and also charts the percentile of students in each school who meet and/or exceed standards. Winnetka schools consistently perform well in all of these categories.
